Thanks to everyone at Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival 2012
We had a fantastic time, met lots of great people and sold lots of our goodies to some very happy children and grown ups! Thanks again to everyone involved and to those who came along.
Looking forward to seeing you all again next year, if not sooner at one of the many other events and chocolate festivals in the UK!
Giant Chocolate Easter Egg Raffle: The Winner
We are happy to announce the winners our raffle draw of this unique 3ft giant Easter egg, handmade and decorated by the team at Choc-affair here in York, from the finest FairTrade chocolate. Winners of our raffle draw for charity were announced at the Food&Drink Expo in Birmingham last week.
The above photo shows the winner of the 3foot Easter egg we raffled at the food and drink expo in Birmingham. We raised £250 from the sale of raffle tickets which is going to our friends in Kumi, Uganda at COHAD where we have had the pleasure to work with and get to know the most wonderful people and children in this small village. Events: Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival 2012
This year’s Ramsbottom Chocolate festival will be on the weekend of the 31st March and 1st April and we will be there!
Along with the popular 2 day chocolate market, chocolate workshops and activities, there will be some great new experiences on offer.
- The East Lancashire Railway will be running their first ever Chocolate Rail Ale tour, and the Al Fresco Dining area, which was a great hit in 2011, now includes an even greater selection of fantastic food stalls.
- This year we will also have our first ever Chocolate Festival Beer Tent- so pop in and try some great local real ales.

The Manchester Chocolate Festival 2011
Choc-affair will be appearing at The 2011 Manchester Chocolate Festival on the 8th October.
This year’s Festival Hub is happening on Albert Square in the centre of Manchester for a big fat 10 days. This pop up food village will provide a gastro honeypot of food adventures with the Festival Bar, Street Food Fair, Harvey Nichols Wine Bar, Live Entertainment, and Gastro Room – the centre piece pavilion with an ever changing series of food events and activity.
For more details the full Festival Hub site map and programme will be on the site, but the Chocolate Festival event is one of the highlights. The Manchester Chocolate Festival 2011 features the world’s first ever bean-to-bar chocolate factory, a rolling round of talks, displays & workshops; a chance to meet cocoa growers and to sample from a big yummy chocolate market. This is a chocolate adventure not to be missed and a Manchester first.
