The Island – Wrapper Design Competition

We have partnered with The Island, York, to create a chocolate bar wrapper design for the young children that attend their evening meetings.

If you haven’t head about The Island; they are a charity based in York that provide mentoring schemes and groups for children that have had a challenging time. You can also read more here.

Our final 6 designs were chosen from many entires from our workshop at The Island. We delivered a fun and educational presentation to the young people, along with some chocolate tasting of course!

We want you to vote* for your favourite design below. The winner will be announced on the 28th August, and will be given a giant milk chocolate bar with their wrapper on! We will also be donating 200 normal-sized chocolate bars with the winner’s wrapper to The Island. They can then distribute these to raise funds and build awareness.

What is your favourite design? *

Aleeshia & Lucia – 13

Aleeshia and Lucia decided to submit their entry together, as team work made the dream work. We thought it was great that these two friends could work together to create something amazing.
Jasmine – 12

Jasmine tells a story in her design as she goes right back to the beginning where the honey is made. We love this idea and think it’s a brilliant idea to combine the story with the visual.
Joy – 16

Joy really took her time to get the detail of the honeycomb in her design. We think this has such ‘wow’ factor and real shelf ‘pop’, The shading is also very well done, with beautiful colours to depict the honeycomb.
Luke – 14

Luke’s wonderful design uses the colours of honey and shapes of the honeycomb to create a beautiful visual on his wrapper. Luke took a lot of time to get the hexagonal shape right – but it certainly paid off in the end.
Rebecca – 13

Rebecca’s beautiful design has so many elements of detail, with all aspects of honey being intertwined into this stunning wrapper. From the honey drips, to the honey jar – the colours bring this piece of art together in the perfect way.
Saffron – 16

Saffron’s amazing design work’s well all around the pack, as her honey ‘belt’ transfers all the way around to the back too, making this design appealing from any angle. A beautiful combination of geometry and colour makes this design ‘pop’.
