Its Father’s Day this Sunday (18th June 2017) which is the perfect excuse to give dad a day to remember! Coming up with ideas is often the hard part so we thought that we would give you some Dadspiration so you can get some plans in place to make sure he has a lovely day!
Fathers Day Activity Ideas
Breakfast
Breakfast is widely recognised as the most important meal of the day and you’ll definitely need to make it a good one to get off to a flying start! One thing you could do before Sunday is to make note of what Dad has for brekky on the Saturday morning. You can’t usually go wrong with a Full English but you’ll know better than anyone about Dads breakfast habits! If Dad isn’t a fan of breakfast then a fresh coffee is a good bet or to make it extra special, our Columbian Single Origin Hot Chocolate is a winner!
Family Fun
You can buy dad any present in the world but one thing he will cherish above all is time with the family! Deciding what to do and where to go is of course dependant on a few factors but here are a couple of ideas –
A Bike Ride
If your budget is low then a nice bike ride through the countryside could be a lovely idea. Tie it in with a pub lunch and you’ll have one very happy father! Just make sure you bring that puncture repair kit!
Footgolf
Now this an emerging game where the title gives it away slightly! You play golf but with a football, kicking it of course! It’s something for all the family and a great idea if the weather forecast is looking sunny! The whole family will be converted to the idea once you get going and you’ll see why it’s taken off so quickly!
Bowling
The only predictable thing about the British weather is that it is unpredictable! We need to plan for every eventuality and this of course includes rain! You can’t beat bowling and this is another family activity but one that is solely indoors so you don’t need any sun! It might be a good idea to let dad win too, otherwise he might decide to go on strike (pun intended unfortunately!).
Fathers Day Gift Ideas
We have a lovely selection of gifts for dad that he is bound to love. Whether it’s our Yorkshire Lad Gift Bag or our Hot Chocolate & Bar combo, it’s safe to say that Dad will be left with a sweet taste! Our hampers come with handwritten gift tags which add that special bit of love.
The main way to make Dad’s day special is to spend time with him and build some wonderful memories. Have a great Father’s Day everyone x
