As we all know; Christmas comes around every year (which seems like a very silly thing to point out); but that being said, every year we face the same difficulties of choosing gifts for our family members. It’s a lot of hard work that goes into gifting; so we’ve put together a brief guide of the best gifts we could find for Christmas this year! And seeing as we are based in York, we thought we would support our fellow Yorkshire-based businesses in finding the perfect gift for your loved one.
Christmas Gifts for Her
1. Cosy Cottage Soap Geranium Gift Box
Earlier this year we teamed up with the lovely Clara, Founder of The Cosy Cottage Soap Company, to do a competition. Clara’s beautiful independent business has blossomed into a pure haven of soap goodies; and in this box, you might even find some of our Choc affair chocolate too! Perfect as a gift for that special lady in your life this Christmas.
2. Sloemotion Rhubarb & Raspberry Hedgerow Gin
Sloe Motion produces the most beautiful gin; and their flavours, packaging and story all combine to create the perfect gift for her. In particular, we love the Rhubarb & Raspberry Hedgerow Gin; and think it matches perfectly with our Gin Collection Gift Set!
3. Brown & Blond’s Pick & Mix Box
Brown & Blond’s stunning pick & mix boxes allow you to choose what brownies you would like; and we can tell you from first hand experience that the opening of this box is just magical. A beautiful embossed sleeve, with printed crest paper, and underneath, an array of moist, gooey and flavoursome chocolate brownies. You can’t get much better!
Christmas Gifts for Him
This wonderful site celebrates all things Yorkshire, as you can create your own boozy gifts using wonderful craft beers from Yorkshire! A great gift for men this Christmas time.
If you are looking for something a little different for him this year, then we suggest you have a look at Purepallets range of gifting; all handmade in yorkshire, these lovely wooden gifts are a real treat. On of our personal favourites is this wall-mounted bottle opener!
3. Cosy Cottage Mens Shaving Soap
What can we say – we just love The Cosy Cottage Soap Company! Their shaving soap is a wonderful stocking filler for guys; soft on the skin and super moisturising, this one is scented with lemongrass and patchouli – both refreshing and soothing.
Christmas Gifts for Parents
1. The York Candle Company Yorkshire Rhubarb Gin Candle
Handmade in Yorkshire, these beautiful candles are a real treat for Christmas! With scents for both men and women, with think that both Mum & Dad will love these! Our personal favourite is their Yorkshire Rhubarb Gin Candle – we are loving our gin at the moment, and think that this could team up perfectly with our Rhubarb Gin Milk Chocolate!
2. The Hebden Tea Company Gift Voucher
With having a Hebden Tea shop near to our Choccy HQ in York, we have bobbed in a few times to see what teas they have to offer – and to be honest, the range is so vast, it’s difficult to choose just one! So; if you are stuck on choice; then they offer a gift voucher so that you can leave the decisions to someone else!
This stunning gift set will give cooking even more flavour, as you could any flavour from their selection and create your own gift box. The great thing about this, is it’s something you would be less likely to purchase for yourself; but we know that a keen cook would love this as a gift!
Christmas Gifts for Grandparents
These cosy blankets are handmade in Yorkshire using Eco friendly redundant yarns that are cut by hand. They are the perfect winter warmer over the cold season; so make a lovely Christmas gift to snuggle up to by the fire.
2. Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery Tour
A great one for Grandads – this distillery tour is a wonderful experience in Yorkshire that is bound to put a smile on his face!
3. Raydale Preserves Mango & Passion Fruit Jam
Raydale preserves create extremely beautiful james, chutneys and curds – with such an array of flavours, we particularly like the mango and passion fruit jam; it’s not one we’ve seen elsewhere, so think it’s really unique! Plus – who doesn’t like a bit of jam and toast on boxing day morning?
